葛飾北斎は、完璧に整った麻の葉模様を、わざと崩した。
整然とした幾何学に、あえて隙間を作る。
そのひとつの崩れから、気が通る。
東洋医学では、完全に閉じた場所より、抜け道があるほうが気は巡ると言います。
この針目は、整えようとして刺したわけではない。
それでも、ただそこにある。
少し揺れながら、少し固くなりながら、そのままの状態で。
それを見ていると、ふと気づくことがある。
自分の感覚は、間違いじゃなかった、と。
グレーの生地に、ピンクの糸。
飾っておくだけでいい。
見るたびに、少しずつ、自分の中に戻ってくる。

Katsushika Hokusai intentionally broke the perfection of the traditional Asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern. By introducing gaps into the rigid geometry, he allowed the “Qi” (energy) to flow.
In Eastern medicine, it is said that energy circulates better through an opening than within a closed space. These stitches were not made to be perfect; they simply exist—swaying, tightening, and holding their own form. Looking at them, you might feel a quiet reassurance: My intuition was right.
